All Saints' has a long tradition of excellence in church music, stretching right back to its first organist, Adolphus von Holst, father of Gustav Holst. Perhaps it isn't stretching the imagination too far to suggest that the young Gustav might himself have been one of the very first choristers. Today we aim to maintain that historic tradition while introducing good examples of music from contemporary Catholic and Anglican repertoire to support a more modern and varied style of services. We continue to strive for the highest possible standards of music in worship. There are choral services at 10.30 and 6.30 on every Sunday except when special events take the choir elsewhere, and we also sing on major weekday festivals such as Ascension and Corpus Christi |
