Tempo Programme

The Tempo Group meets each Wednesday, except the fifth Wednesday of the month, at 2.30pm in the John Wood Room and provides a wide variety of events for the more senior members of Parish family.  The group welcomes new members who live near All Saints’ or indeed elsewhere in the town.

In a Sponsored Silence we were recently able to donate £360.10p to Send A Cow, a charity providing livestock and education to impoverished farmers in Africa.  Many thanks to all who supported this effort.

On the 1st and 3rd Wednesday, members enjoy Talks with Tea and Cakes.  Recent talks have included, "Mother Teresa", "Eastern Canada" and "The Fun of Gardening".

On the 2nd Wednesday a Scrabble afternoon is held.  On the 4th Wednesday a variety of activities are arranged including outings to local places of interest.  Members of the group have arranged a number of short holidays and the next holiday will be spent in Newquay.

There is a short Service is church at 2pm on the first Wednesday of each month.  These often focus on a theme such as Harvest or Friendship and Caring and are usually taken by one of the parish clergy.
